Dr. Sheila Ghovanlou is a board-licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and a board-certified Pilates Rehabilitation Practitioner. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Exercise Science and Psychology. Following her passion for fitness and healthcare, Dr. Ghovanlou decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. She obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy at California State University, Long Beach, and then went on to get her Doctor of Physical therapy at Temple University. After working as a physical therapist for a number of years, Dr. Ghovanlou further specialized in Pilates Rehabilitation when she received her board certification as a Pilates rehabilitation practitioner from Polestar Pilates.
Dr. Ghovanlou specializes in orthopedic, sport, neurological and pediatric physical therapy. She implements an individualized, multi-disciplinary, and holistic treatment approach for each patient based on each patient’s unique background, goals, or injury. Dr. Ghovanlou has the added advantage of utilizing her pilates specialization to combine cutting-edge Physical Therapy techniques with Pilates Rehabilitation principles into cohesive treatment plans. This approach continues to help patients heal from injuries and achieve full-body harmony.
